A man named Xiao Yao, exhausted from work, hears his doorbell ring unexpectedly. Thinking it’s a neighbor complaining about a water leak, he decides to ignore it. When he finally checks, he finds no one outside, only to hear the bell again. He opens the door to a young boy in a Taoist robe who mysteriously asks to stay the night. Xiao Yao, unsure whether it’s a prank or a lost child, reluctantly lets the boy in and tries to be friendly. However, the boy’s silence and sudden outburst of “Annoying! Shut up!” leave him baffled.

Later, an officer named Zhao, who seems familiar with the boy, arrives and reveals the child’s mother has already picked him up, leaving Xiao Yao even more confused. As Zhao departs, the boy hints that Xiao Yao might be someone they were looking for. Before Xiao Yao can understand what’s happening, he faints, ending the strange night with the realization that his life might be about to change.
